Organizers of the festival «Jazz Koktebel» offer Crimean tourist agencies to jointly develop event tourism
Organizers of the annual international festival "Jazz Koktebel" and USAID Project LINK invite the Crimean tourism business to take part in a pilot project aimed at promoting the event tourism. This was reported by the producer and art director of the festival Andrew Slabinsky at a seminar in the framework of the XX International Tourist Fair "Crimea. Resorts. Tourism-2011 ".
In particular, according to A. Slabinskogo, within the project Crimean tour companies offer pre-buy tickets for the jazz festival at a discounted price with their subsequent resale. "We would suggest that those tour operators who are willing to seriously work with us, could buy tickets at the very lowest price, and then sell them throughout the summer and in September," - he explained.
According to A. Slabinsky, selling tickets to the festival kicks off on May 15, the cost of a one-day ticket is 150 USD. He noted that traditionally, during the summer ticket price increases, and in September may reach approximately 250 UAH.
A. Slabinsky added that the decision on cooperation would be taken during April, upon the request of travel agencies.
In his opinion, this format will work together to develop a competitive tourist offer of visiting the festival on a turnkey basis and to raise awareness of travel agencies by placing information about them on the official site of the jazz festival.
In addition, art director of the festival said that during the June-July, planned a traditional pre-party tour which is a measure of club format. This year, this promotional event will cover eight cities in Ukraine, at the same time last year, similar events were held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Vitebsk, and in several Ukrainian cities. "This year we will restrict ourselves only to Ukraine, but it will not be 5 cities, like last year, but rather 8. We are preparing an interesting music program and collect the local press to remind once again about the festival, to gather local musicians and thus maintain interest in the festival ", - said Alexander Slabinsky.
He added that this year's festival is expected to attend the group "Spleen".
