«Swallow's Nest» will function as a cultural tourist attraction
Verkhovna Rada of Crimea has given its consent to the transfer of communal property of territorial community of Yalta in the assets of the autonomy of the architectural monument of national importance - non-residential buildings restaurant "Swallow's Nest."
Commenting on this decision, the first deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Burlakov Paul said that the palace-castle "Swallow's Nest", which is the hallmark of the Crimea and part of the treasury of the world's cultural property shall not operate as a "catering", and as a cultural tourist destination. "The Castle" Swallow's Nest "is indeed a historic cultural heritage of the Crimea and, of course, this object should not operate as a restaurant or catering, and exhibition to be the cultural center" - said the first deputy prime minister.
He recalled that at the present time, develop the concept of an architectural monument, which will be implemented soon.
As reported, 1 March, the Council of Ministers of the ARC approved a resolution on the establishment of the Crimean Republic institution "Palace-Castle Swallow's Nest", on the balance of which will be transferred from communal ownership of Yalta monument of "Swallow's Nest."
The resolution noted that today the "Swallow's nest" is not used for its cultural facilities, as well as a restaurant company with limited liability "Yalta - Verona.
In this regard, the Ministry of Culture of Crimea and Crimean Republican Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage have started to develop the concept of the use of this architectural monument. The concept involves changing the destination of the palace "with the object of catering to an object of cultural and tourist spheres." In particular, in the castle are planned tourist and cultural events, including exhibitions, theatrical evenings, etc.
Document also suggests the development of new tour itineraries to "Swallow's Nest" and located next to the archaeological sites, the organization of the center of tourism and information services, site of the palace, etc.
