To reform the health resort and tourist industry of the Crimea will send 1.8 billion UAH
Verkhovna Rada of Crimea approved a plan for implementing the first phase of the Strategy of economic and social development of the ARC. Appropriate action has been taken at the plenary session of the Crimean parliament on April 20.
According to the chairman of the Standing Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of the ARC of sanatorium-resort complex and tourism Rustam Temirgalieva, within the next 3 years to reform the health resort and tourism sector will be spent 1.8 billion USD.
In the first place, he said, the funds will be used to develop a new Crimean tourism product, with the main emphasis will be placed on treatment. In addition, funds will be allocated and to expand the scope of the holiday season.
«As you know, today the main tourist flow, in fact, is concentrated in two months - July and August. At other times, unfortunately, the vast majority of our resorts are empty. One of the main tasks, which solves the operational plan and strategy - is filling the Crimean health resorts in the so-called "low season", - said the head of the profile commission. In his opinion, the first phase of the Strategy will involve the Crimea additional numbers of tourists - about 1 million a year, to increase revenues in the budgets of the resort areas, and increase the incomes of working in the tourism sector.
In addition, according to the document, 19.3 billion USD will be spent on upgrading industrial structure of industry, 10.9 billion USD - the development of transport capacity, 5.6 billion UAH envisaged the creation of an environment conducive to life, 3,2 billion USD - the formation of the agricultural sector of the XXI century.
As reported Resort and Information Centre of the ARC, formerly the draft resolution "On implementation of the Plan the first phase (2011-2013) Strategy for economic and social development of the ARC for 2011-2020 was approved at a meeting of the Regional Committee for Economic Reforms.
In general terms the first phase of implementation of the strategy provides more than 1000 events with total financing of USD 40.8 billion.
December 22, 2010 the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea adopted a strategy of economic and social development of the ARC for 2011-2020. The document was developed by the Ministerial Council in conjunction with the National Institute of Strategic Studies on behalf of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich.
