Initiated legislative initiative on amending article 207 of the Tax Code of Ukraine concerning the taxation of transactions in the tourism industry, were major Crimean tour. According to the chairman of the parliamentary commission, the main tasks of the bill is the improvement of taxation in the tourism industry by simplifying the synchronization of taxation and tourism services in terms of value added tax. "The idea behind this initiative is to synchronize the" Law of Tourism "and the Tax Code, which clearly defines the status of tour operator", - he added.
R. Temirgaliev explained that under the current edition of the Tax Code, Ukrainian tour operators specializing in outbound tourism actually pay less VAT than the tour operators that operate on inbound tourism, that is, encourage capital inflows into the country.
Adoption of the bill, said R. Temirgaliev activates the inbound and domestic tourism in Ukraine, stimulates the flow of domestic and foreign investment in the tourism industry to increase revenues to local budgets, infrastructure, etc.
In turn, the first deputy minister of resorts and tourism of Crimea, Alexander Lie urged the representatives of the Crimean tourist market more actively involved in legislative reform of the industry. "The introduction of this bill, initiated by the Crimean tour is an indication that the spa industry has effective mechanisms of influence - he said. - Together we can make changes to the regulations, the laws of Ukraine. I would like to see all the tour operators, accommodation base, specialized non-governmental organizations actively used the opportunity to make legislative initiatives as well as reform of the sector - a challenge not only officials but, above all, the tourism business. "
